Axton Betz-Hamilton, Virginia Vincenti - Financial exploitation of vulnerable populations, including children and elders, is a problem investigated by Betz (2012), Betz-Hamilton & Vincenti, (in press), and Navarro and Higgins (2017).  Small sample sizes in each of these studies, which focus on financial exploitation within families, reflect the difficulty in recruiting victims of such exploitation for research studies.  In this presentation, the challenges associated with recruiting from this population, along with strategies for overcoming these challenges, will be discussed.
